Parking available on Grade School campus and street parking.

The Baccalaureate Mass is an age-old tradition for schools worldwide to give thanks to God for their graduating class.


We ask God for His blessings and guidance as our graduates are sent forth into the world , loving God and others as they make an impact through service and grace.

Check In:

Seniors must be at the MCC at 8:30am for attendance check-in and dress check. Check-in with your Advisor. Park on the high school basketball courts and walk over

Attire:

Line-Up:

Seniors will line-up at 9:10am and proceed into the MCC. Ms. Nourrie will assist with procession line-up.

Parking:

Seniors are to find legal, street parking in the neighborhood or park at the high school basketball courts. The GS parking lot will be saved for parents, guests with special needs (Handicapped), Jubilarian Anniversary, alumni, board members and honored guests.

Call Time for Seniors: 3:30pm

Tickets required. Each senior to have 4 tickets.

Class Night is a long tradition, a night to celebrate the accomplishments of graduating seniors and present awards.


It is also time when the senior class passes on the mantel and torch to the new rising seniors .

In the exchange, Juniors give a lei to the graduating senior and the Senior gives a candle representing the light they now carry as leaders of the campus.

SENIOR INFORMATION

Check In:

Seniors are to be in their seats on stage by 3:30pm for attendance and final sound check. Entry is through the Hawaii Theatre Stage door. Doors to the public will open at 4:15pm. Seniors are to check in with Mr. Ramos & Mrs. Nourrie.


Attire:

It is mandatory to wear the Class Aloha Attire. See below. Failure to do so will remove you from participating in Class Night. If you do not participate in Class Night, you may not participate in Commencement exercises. Please bring an old pair of slippers as you will be barefoot on stage.


Girls are to wear:

  • Class Aloha Attire. It must be ironed and must look presentable.
  • Proper undergarments. No swim suits under aloha wear.
  • No jewelry or flowers in the hair. ONLY CLASS RINGS WILL BE ALLOWED.


Boys are to wear:

  • Class Aloha Attire. Slacks and shirt must be ironed and must look presentable.
  • No Jewelry. ONLY CLASS RINGS WILL BE ALLOWED.
  • Boys with long hair must wear it neatly tied back.


Parking:

Parking is available at Mark’s Garage and in street metered stalls. It is recommended that you have cash as some parking areas do not accept credit cards.

After Class Night:

Once you leave the theatre you will not be allowed back in. Awards will be collected and distributed at graduation practice the next day.

Celebrate the 90th graduating class from Maryknoll at the Blaisdell Arena


Entry: each senior will be given 20 tickets for families and friends

(14 tickets on May 21 + 6 tickets for prompt attendance at Senior-Alumni brucnh and graduation practices)

Rehearsal Check In:

Parking:

Parking is available onsite through Elite Parking Services. Entrance is via King Street Gate – this is the main entrance to the Blaisdell Parking Lot. The gate opens at 5:30am., Monday-Saturday. Street metered parking is available; however you will NOT be allowed to leave to feed your meters. Carpooling is recommended.


Attire:

Dress in Spirit Attire. Bring a sweater, as it may get cold.


Awards:

Class Night awards will be available for pick-up after the rehearsal.

Morning Rehearsal June 7, 2024, 8:30- 11:30am


On the morning of graduation, all seniors must attend a rehearsal at Neal Blaisdell Arena. No food or drinks are allowed.

**If you miss practice, participation in the ceremony is at risk.

Seniors MUST check in by 4:00pm. Please check-in with Ms. Nourrie

Parking:

Parking is available at the Blaisdell for a fee. It is recommended to be dropped off, as you will be bussed afterwards to the Project Graduation site.

Senior Info:

ACADEMIC DRESS

Seniors are to be in Academic Dress: No shorts and no jewelry. ONLY class rings will be allowed. Girls, please be sure to have the white collar sewn onto your gown prior to the Baccalaureate Mass. Hair must meet hair requirements and worn appropriately. If you do not comply with hair and dress attire, you will not be able to participate in the Baccalaureate Mass and if you do not participate in Baccalaureate Mass, you may not participate in Commencement Exercises.

Men’s Academic Dress:

  • White collared dress shirt
  • A conservative tie (solid black)
  • Black dress slacks.
  • Black socks and black business shoes in good repair.
  • Cap, Tassel and Gown neatly pressed.
  • Boys with long hair must wear it neatly tied back.
  • No jewelry, except Class Ring
  • Face is cleanly shaven


  • Women’s Academic Dress:
  • A dark colored dress or a dark skirt and blouse.
  • Dress or blouse cannot have a ruffle neck or long sleeves.
  • Dress or skirt length cannot be longer than the academic gown.
  • Neutral hose and all black dress shoe with a covered heel or a strap in the back. Open toe shoes are acceptable.
  • Cap, Tassel and Gown neatly pressed with white collar attached
  • No jewelry, except Class RIng.

Lei-Giving

Lei-giving will occur after the ceremony along the Arena concourse and in the breezeway between the Arena and Exhibition Hall. Students may make name signs.



The following are PROHIBITED to bring INSIDE THE ARENA:

  • No Sticks or rods- posters must be able to be rolled up and put under your chair
  • No Selfie-stick camera or Go Pro Stick cameras
  • No Balloons No Tripods No Laser Pointers
  • No Outside Food or Beverages- Including Alcohol!
  • No Tailgating in the parking structure, grass areas or on walkways
  • No Noisemakers or Air Horns No Silly String, Confetti or Confetti Cannons
  • No Strollers-strollers must be checked with the usher staff
  • No aisles can be obstructed.
  • All packages are subject to search. Large bags may be denied entry if they won’t fit or contain unsuitable items.
